Step 3: Blog Address (URL) — Add Custom Domain and SSL Setup

For Main Domain or Sub Domain:

  • Go to General settings, then Blog Address and click Link Custom Domain.
  • In the Add Custom Domain window, select Type as "Main Domain" or "Sub Domain" and enter your domain (e.g., example.com).
  • Click Continue and follow the prompts.
  • You’ll be guided to set up a DNS A record to the provided IP address.
  • After DNS is configured, wait a few minutes for SSL (https) to activate.
  • Watch for success notifications at the top right.
  • If you need help, email help (at) blogsitefy.com for support.

For Subfolder (subdirectory) setup:

  • Ensure your domain uses Cloudflare for DNS.
  • In the Blog Address under the General settings tab, click Link Custom Domain and select Type as "Subfolder". Enter the full URL with your subfolder slug (e.g., yourdomain.com/blog).
  • Complete these steps in your Cloudflare dashboard:
    1. Add/select your domain in Cloudflare.
    2. On your registrar, update nameservers to Cloudflare’s.
    3. (Optional) Enable security/performance settings in Cloudflare.
    4. Go to your dashboard, click “SSL/TLS” → “Overview” → “Configure”.
    5. Select "Custom SSL/TLS", switch encryption mode from Flexible to Full, then Save.
    6. Under "DNS" > "Records", ensure an "A" record points to the right place and Proxy status is "On".
    7. Go to "Workers" > "Create Worker", then "Edit code". Copy the code provided by Blogsitefy ("Code" button in General settings) and paste it in Cloudflare, then Deploy.
    8. In Workers’ "Settings", add these Routes:
      • yourdomain.com/subfolder and set Failure Mode: Fail closed (block).
      • yourdomain.com/next and set Failure Mode: Fail closed (block).
    9. Wait a few minutes, then visit your subfolder URL to check connection.
