Step-by-Step Instructions
Beginner Insights: CTA Types and When to Use Them
A CTA (Call to Action) is a spot on your blog asking your reader to do something—like sign up, click, or buy.
Common types:
- Button: Subscribe to my newsletter
- Link: Read more or Download here
- Form: Enter your email to get updates
- Popup: A small window that appears inviting signups
- Sidebar/Widget: Stays visible as users scroll
Step 1: CTA Management — Using the CTA Library & Creating New CTAs
- Go to your Blogsitefy dashboard and select CTA from the left menu.
- In the CTA Library, you’ll see all your existing CTAs, each listed with its title.
To create a new CTA:
- Click Add CTA.
- Choose a Placement:
- Floating (floating CTA placement) or
- Footer (footer CTA placement).
- Select the Type:
- Global or
- Category
- Enter your Title and Subtitle.
- Fill in the Button fields:
- Name (button text) and
- Link (destination URL).
- Click Submit to create your new CTA.

Step 2: Placing CTAs (Where to Show Them on Your Post)
When you create a CTA in Blogsitefy, you select its placement within your post during creation:
- Floating: Displayed as a floating element over your content.
- Footer: Shown at the bottom of your posts.
Choose your desired placement using the available options (Floating or Footer) in the CTA creation dialog.

Step 3: Targeting and Segmentation — Showing CTAs to the Right People
In Blogsitefy, you target CTAs using the Type setting:
- Select Global to show the CTA on every page and post sitewide.
- Select Category to display the CTA only on blog posts with the specified category—if a post matches, your category CTA will appear; otherwise, the Global CTA is shown.

Step 4: CTA Optimization — Good Copy and Design Tips
Design & copy tips:
- Use short, actionable words for your CTA button (e.g., “Get Tips!”, “Start Free Trial”).
- Highlight buttons with bright, brand-aligned colors—make your button stand out against the background.
- Place CTAs in visible, natural spots where readers’ attention naturally flows on the page.

💡 Tip:
CTAs help your blog grow! Don’t aim for perfection—just start and refine as you go.
